This fine art gallery features the works of local artists. Outside the gallery are stunning gardens, including a traditional Japanese garden which was a gift from Port Alberni's sister city Abashiri. A gift shop is on site.

The Abbey
This arts centre is hub for alternative art, movies and music on the Island. Movie showings happen every Friday night, and live entertainment is available on Saturday nights. The gallery is open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 11 to 4.

The museum was established to explore and preserve British Columbia's human and natural history, to inspire curiosity and wonder, and to share its story with the world. Of particular note is the permanent First Peoples Gallery, which includes weaving, carved wooden boxes, totem poles, shaman figures, an extensive collection of Haida argillite carvings and almost 100 ceremonial masks from all over the Northwest Coast.
