Located in the stunning Schoen Lake Provincial Park, Schoen Lake is a very pleasant spot for trout fishing, camping and hiking. Best fishing is during May, June, September and October, and anglers should fish the three creeks feeding the lake. From Highway 19 take Nimpkish Main Road south, then turn east onto Davie Road.

Farewell Lake offers a campsite, car top boat launch and trout fishing (restrictions apply). Situated 48 km (30 mi) northwest of Campbell River, the lake can be accessed via the Menzies and Long Lake mainlines to Blackwater Lake Road, or via Highway 19, south on Blackwater Lake Road.

Anglers head to Grace Lake from April to June, September and October to reel in Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout. Equipped with a car top boat launch, the lake is located about 45 km (28 mi) northwest of Campbell River. The Menzies and Long Lake mainlines to the 146 mainline provide access to the lake.

Located 63 km (39 mi) northwest of Campbell River, McCreight Lake is stocked with Cutthroat Trout but also offers Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden Char and Kokanee Salmon. With three camping sites and a boat launch, this is a convenient and rewarding fishing spot throughout summer. Follow Rock Bay Road, off Highway 19.

This small lake is stocked with Cutthroat Trout and offers great fishing during May, June, September and October. A boat launch and campsite is located at the lake. Access is off Highway 19, 28 km (17 mi) west of Sayward.

Forming Section 12 of the Sayward Forest Canoe Route, a 47 km (29 mi) paddling route through 11 lakes, Amor Lake is located 35 km (22 mi) northwest of Campbell River. Popular for fishing too, there's a boat launch and small campsite at the lake. From Menzies Bay, north of Campbell River, follow the Menzies and Long Lake mainlines to Blackwater Lake Road, then turn right onto Amor Lake Road. From Sayward take Blackwater Lake Road and Amor Lake Road, off Highway 19.

This river is a popular destination for steelhead fishing on Vancouver Island. Sayward Road crosses the river at several points en route to Kelsey Bay.
