    Chesterman Beach
    Chesterman Beach is the pride of the Tofino area. This 2.4 km (1.5 mi) strip is made of hard packed sand, which makes it exceptional for walking, surfing and bike riding. While at the beach, wander down at low tide to explore the marine life in the tidal pools of Frank Island.

    Willows Beach
    A popular swimming hole, this Victoria beach is located minutes from downtown. The beach's soft white sand and shallow waters are great for children. Amenities include a playground, volleyball courts, picnic tables, grassy areas and scenic trails.

    Long Beach

    Parksville Community Beach
    This five kms of coastline situated along Parksville Bay becomes one large beach during low tide. The Parksville Community Park marks the middle of the area, which is home to a playground and water park. The beach is the site for many events, including the Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition and Kidfest.

    Saratoga Beach
    Saratoga Beach is located at the north end of the Comox Valley, at the mouth of the Oyster River. To access the beach take hwy 19 north of Campbell River for just over 20 km and follow the turn-off. The shallow waters, which gently slope for well over a mile and continue in the gentle waters of the Strait of Georgia make Saratoga Beach a perfect swimming spot for children. Miracle Beach and Oyster River Regional Park are located nearby and offer campsites.

    Goose Spit Park
    Goose Spit Park is a flexible sand spit fed by the Willemar Bluffs and is a Class I recreational beach. Amenities include picnic tables, road access with parking, and toilets. Goose Spit offers waterfront scenic views, rare plants and wildlife. Pet leashing is required.

    Cox Bay
    Cox bay is a small sandy beach on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Though it is popular with surfers, storm watchers and nature lovers, Cox bay tends to be quieter than other beaches in the area. Access to the beach is found at the Pacific Sands Beach Resort.

    Miracle Beach Park
    Miracle Beach Park is located 28 km south of Campbell River on Highway 19, off Miracle Beach Road. Visitors can enjoy the large sandy beach as well as walking trails and a nature house. Bring the tent or RV and stay for a few days at one of the 193 vehicle/tent sites. A group BBQ area has picnic tables, washrooms and a changing area.
