    World's Tallest Totem Pole
    Alert Bay boasts the world's tallest totem pole, at 53m (173 ft), in two pieces, and carved by six Kwakwaka'wakw artists. The figures on the pole represent various tribes of the Kwakwaka'wakw.

    Mt. Arrowsmith Biosphere Reserve

    World's Largest Yellow Cedar
    Sayward boasts the world's largest yellow cedar tree, at 61 m (200 ft) tall and 13 m (42 ft) in circumference. The tree is no longer standing, but it still remains on its side on the forest floor, where visitors can get a good appreciation of the tree's size.

    World's Largest Hockey Stick
    Created in 1985, this mammoth wood and steel replica of a hockey stick and puck weighs 28,118 kg (61,000 lb). It was originally built for display at Expo '86 World's Fair Exposition in Vancouver, later donated to Duncan by the Government of British Columbia. The structure can be seen outside the Cowichan Community Centre.
